BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A semi truck driver is dead after an accident in Emmett Township near Battle Creek on Saturday, October 9.
Police say it happened on M-66 when the semi truck’s trailer rolled over the driver after a collision with a pickup truck.
The driver, identified as Dan Grayeagle, had pulled over on the side of southbound M-66 near Golden Avenue and was standing between the cab and the trailer when a pickup truck approached. The driver of the pickup attempted to move right to avoid another semi truck that was slowing down, but didn’t see the semi that was stopped on the side of the road.
The pickup collided with Grayeagle’s trailer, causing it to roll over him.
The pickup driver suffered minor injuries from the crash.
