SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WTVB) – South Haven could spend millions of dollars addressing the issues caused by high water levels on Lake Michigan.
An analysis by Abonmarche Consultants released Friday estimates the lakeshore town could pay between $8.5 million and $16.3 million to fix the problems. Those costs include taking more measures to fight erosion, repairing and adjusting infrastructure damaged by erosion, and adding more sand to keep the beach the same size.
The city hired the consulting group to figure out how much it needs to spend.
