DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit People Mover will be making a change in direction.
The Detroit Transportation Corporation says starting on weekends this month the elevated rail system will travel counter clockwise. It will be the first time since 2008 that the cars will be switching directions.
The DTC says the change is being made because testing has shown the steel wheels will wear more evenly by going in the reverse direction. The DTC says the permanent change begins March 1, 2020.
