LANSING, MI (WTVB) – All alcohol breath test devices removed from service by the Michigan State Police last month have been certified for use.
Approximately 200 of the machines were sidelined due to concerns about their accuracy. A statement released by State Police officials Thursday said that the breathalyzers were certified for use at the end of January 2020.
A criminal investigation into a pair of employees of the company hired to service the machines is ongoing. So far, no charges have been filed.
