UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Starbucks is saying thank you to those working exceptionally hard during this coronavirus pandemic.
The chain announced that now through May 3rd they will be offering free coffee to front line responders.
The Starbucks Foundation is also donating $500,000 dollars to support frontline responders with equal donations to Direct Relief to support the delivery of essential medical items and to Operation Gratitude to deliver care packages and handwritten letters to first responders and health care workers.
In a letter, Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson wrote, “This moment in time, as the world is united in an effort to mitigate the effects of COVID-19, requires coordinated action by governments, health care providers, businesses, and people in every community. Working together, we are making a difference and, together, we will overcome this unprecedented challenge.”
