KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An event hosted by Kalamazoo’s Family Health Center will focus on the unique health needs of women in the Kalamazoo community.
The Women’s Health Expo is set to take place Saturday, October 16, at the Family Health Center’s Patterson Campus at 117 West Paterson Street.
The event will feature health checks such as blood pressure, mammograms and cervical cancer checks.
Family Health Center President and CEO Denise Crawford says the Women’s Health Expo will spotlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but that’s not the only health concern the event will address. Crawford added that the Expo is a crucial step to provide access to quality care for women of all backgrounds, including raising awareness and promoting healthy lifestyles.
The event will also feature seminars and information on healthy living, and health-related vendor booths, along with music and prizes.
