JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – Consumer’s Energy says their crews are ready to respond in case Monday’s strong winds of nearly 50 miles an hour cause power outages.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, crews will be taking such precautions as social distancing and completing medical screening prior to their shift.
Vehicles and work surfaces will be regularly cleaned as well.
Residents are asked to stay at least six feet from crews and equipment. Because of the COVID-19 situation, Consumers says their crews would appreciate it customers would give them a wave from the front door instead of greeting them outside.
Reports of downed wires can be made by calling 9-1-1 or Consumers Energy at 1-800-477-5050.
