BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A traffic detour and sidewalk closure on Jackson Street are in place in downtown Battle Creek as city crews have begun work on the McCamly Plaza Hotel rehabilitation project.
Eastbound Jackson Street vehicular traffic will be detoured south on McCamly Street, east on Hamblin Avenue and north on Capital Avenue.
Westbound Jackson Street between Capital and McCamly will remain open to vehicular traffic.
The sidewalk on the south side of Jackson between Capital and McCamly will be closed. Pedestrians should utilize the crosswalks at McCamly or Capital to access the sidewalk on the north side of Jackson.
Both closures will remain in place until July 1, 2022 for building construction.
