KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Kalamazoo say a loaded gun was stolen from a vehicle earlier this week. It happened in the parking lot of a business near Pitcher Street and Crosstown Parkway on Monday morning at around 8:30 a.m. and was caught on surveillance video.
A group of what appeared to be young teenagers were seen looking inside vehicles and checking to see if they were unlocked. One of the vehicles was unlocked with a loaded gun inside and one of the suspects grabbed it before running from the scene. The theft was reported after an employee at the business discovered the weapon had been stolen.
A $500 reward is being offered for information that could lead to an arrest.
