HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Michigan State Police reported just after 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning that five-day-old Jeffrey Michael Smith Junior has been found safe.
No other information was immediately released.
The infant was reported as missing earlier in the morning and was said to be in possible danger.
Police believe he may be in a 2003 Black Chevy Tahoe with his biological father Jeffrey Michael Smith Senior
That vehicle was involved in a Calhoun County police pursuit which eventually ended in Kalamazoo County and one person was taken into custody.
According to the alert, the baby was thought to be potentially in danger because of comments made by the father about harming the baby.
He took the baby but no food or additional clothing. The father has an arrest warrant from Emmett Township Public Safety, in the Battle Creek area.
