BRYAN, OH (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man accused of a stabbing is in critical condition after he was shot by an Ohio sheriff’s deputy over the weekend.
According to WANE.com, 38-year-old Clarence Thigpen is a suspect in the stabbing of 43-year-old Michael Harris in Ohio’s Defiance County. It occurred in the city of Bryan around 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Authorities say Thigpen got into an altercation with responding officials and was shot by a deputy.
The stabbing victim was airlifted to a hospital in Indiana and was last reported in stable condition and Thigpen was flown to a Toledo hospital for critical injuries.
No other details have been released at this time. An investigation is now underway.
