SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Beach Safety Flag program implemented by the South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES) has ended for the season as of Sunday.
Officials say the focus of the program this year was to communicate better with residents about hazardous conditions, which they say has been more effective than the flag signal on its own.
Speaking with WOOD TV Monday, officials with SHAES said there were no water-related rescues in South Haven this year.
