JACKSON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Consumers Energy expects the restoration of power to customers following last week’s storms to be completed by late Saturday.
The utility’s vice president for electric operations, Guy Ballard, says that crews working around the clock have allowed Consumers to make strong progress in the restoration effort.
Packard said that DTE is loaning about 64 crews to assist in getting customers back on line.
Since Tuesday afternoon, over 270,000 customers were affected by the high winds and storms that swept through the state.
