DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – A huge event for car buffs and which also had a huge economic impact on local communitys is the latest event to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizers of the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise announced their decision this morning after months of consideration. The event was scheduled for August 15 and annually brings approximately 1.5 million people and 50,000 classic cars to Metro Detroit.
The cruise travels through many communities in Oakland County and some leaders had expressed concerns about having the event this year.
