HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Adding the Powerplay option to his Powerball ticket paid off for Ottawa County resident Thai Van Nguyen, 44, who turned a $50,000 prize into $100,000 by playing the Michigan Lottery’s Powerball game, acording to Michigan Lottery officials.
He won $50,000 on Dec. 19, 2018, and the Powerplay doubled his prize. Van Nguyen bought his ticket at Samy’s Place, on West 16th Street in Holland.
Saturday’s Powerball drawing jackpot is $69 milion, so far.
