GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO AM/FM) — We will see subzero wind chills today and the National Weather Service says we could see a day where the temperature never gets above zero before this cold snap ends.
Their models show West Michigan could see record breaking cold mid-week next week, with the kind of wind chills we rarely if ever see.
Meteorologist Nathan Jeruzal says temperatures could dip beyond bone chilling and brutal…to life threatening with wind chills near 30 below or lower.
Call it the Polar Vortex or the Siberian Express, he says it’s reflective of a new pattern in the jet stream that is setting up for an extended run.
