BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek man is dead, two others wounded and a gunman is at large after the Cereal City’s second homicide of the year.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Kendall St. and West Dickman Road on a complaint of shots fired at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday.
They discovered a car with several bullet holes and an unresponsive man at the wheel.
They also followed blood trails and found three other men who had been in the car, two of them wounded. Both are expected to recover.
23-year-old Wendell Daniels was pronounced dead at Bronson Battle Creek. The names of the others have not been released.
Detectives are seeking a motive and witnesses. There have been no arrests so far.
