LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was considering a change of date for her State of the State Address after President Trump decided to give his delayed address February 5, the date she had scheduled.
The speech, which is the one time of the year the Governor gets to address a joint session of the legislature and gets a statewide TV audience for an hour, and it would have much less impact competing with the President.
With the Legislature’s concurrence, it has now been rescheduled for a week later, February 12 at 7:00 p.m.
