KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County police are investigating two early morning shootings, one that left two injured early Saturday morning, September 18.
Deputies were dispatched to the site of the first shooting at the Delta Hotel at 2474 South 11th Street in Oshtemo Township on a report of shots fired at 12:46 a.m. Fifteen spent shell casings were found at the scene.
Authorities say two victims had arrived at Bronson Hospital after being struck by gunfire in the parking lot of the hotel where a large party was taking place.
Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries and no arrests have been made at this time.
The second shooting happened a little later around 3:18 a.m.
Kalamazoo County deputies were dispatched to a large parking lot behind the Target Department store at 5350 West Main Street, the site of another large party.
On scene, police found 37 spent shells along with a semi trailer that had been struck by stray bullets. No suspects were found from this shooting at this time.
