CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the Richland woman who was struck and killed by a semi-truck while crossing I-94 late Tuesday night.
The 59-year-old truck driver from Farmington Hills was traveling eastbound on I-94 in Charleston Township around 11:00 p.m. when he struck Michelle Ann Stratton in the roadway.
The 37-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say speed or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the incident but they are still investigating.
