HOLLAND (WHTC-AM) — Holland police detectives are looking for a man who left behind handgun in the men’s restroom at Menards, 572 E. 16th St., in Holland, on Tuesday evening, March 19, 2019.
Holland Police Capt. Keith Mulder said the gun is legally registered, however, police have been unable to find the owner, so the circumstances leading to the gun being left behind are unclear.
Mulder, in an email to WHTC, encouraged gun owners to practice safe gun handling and storage “to avoid accidents and leaving guns in public areas or anywhere else other people can access them.”
He did not identify what type of handgun was found.
