UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan State and Michigan will be bicoastal for the next round of the NCAA National Championships.
The Wolverines will play Texas Tech in Anaheim, California Thursday night at 9:40 pm.
The Spartans are headed to Washington D.C. to play LSU Friday evening at 7:10.

DES MOINES, IOWA (WKZO AM/FM) — Two of the teams in this year’s Sweet-16 will be from Michigan as both the Spartans and the Wolverines coasted to victories in the second round of the NCAA National Tourney.
Michigan led 10th-seeded Florida by four at the half and then ran away from them in the second half, outscoring the Gators 32 to 21 to post a comfortable 64 to 49 win. Jordan Poole scored 19 to lead the Wolverines. Kalamazoo’s Isaiah Livers added ten off the bench.
It’s the third straight year the Wolverines have advanced past the first weekend of the Tourney.
Michigan State will be headed back to the Sweet-16 for the first time since 2015 after mauling ten-seeded Big Ten rival Minnesota 70 to 50 in Des Moines. The Golden Gophers fell behind early and never caught up. Cassius Wilson led the balanced attack for the Spartans with 13 points.
Michigan State will play third seeded LSU on Friday in the Nation’s Capital. Michigan is headed to Anaheim to play the winner of Sunday’s game between Texas Tech and MAC Champion Buffalo on Thursday.
Purdue also got past the second round and is headed for the Sweet-16, beating Villanova 87 to 61.
The Boilermakers will take on the winner of Sunday’s game between Tennessee and Iowa in Louisville on Thursday.
