UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s Oberon Day and the party has already started for some.
Dozens of bars and taverns throughout the Midwest started serving at midnight.
Bell’s only brews the American wheat ale that is sometimes served with an orange slice during the warm months, because founder Larry Bell says it’s the kind of beer that goes best with sunshine and a baseball game.
Once again this year, Sweetwater’s will be making special Oberon donuts. They aren’t made with beer but the color scheme is the same.
You can also sign up at their website to have Bell’s send a note why you were absent from work today. The excuse form can be found at their website.
There will be dozens of other Oberon Day events around the region this evening and through the week.
