OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a road rage incident involving a gunshots on 68th Avenue, south of I-96. No one was hurt.
The victim, a 58-year-old man, called police just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019, telling them he was eastbound on I-96 when he noticed a vehicle tailgating his car.
After the two exited on to 68th Avenue southbound ramp, the two had a confrontation just south of the exit ramp. As the victim was driving away, he told police, he heard two gun shots. He last saw the vehicle northbound 68th Avenue after the incident.
Police detectives found two bullet holes in the rear of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect is described as a 6-foot-4 tall male with a stocky build, dark mustache and goatee. He was driving a new dark-colored pick-up truck.
