KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police say an explosive device was found inside a Kalamazoo home during a drug investigation Monday afternoon.
Officers had served a search warrant to a home on Ada St. at around 5:30 after receiving tips about drug activity at the residence. Crack cocaine and three weapons were located during the search, along with an explosive. A bomb squad had to be called in to safely remove it from the home.
One man was arrested at the scene on unrelated charges. No arrests related to activity at that home have been announced at this time. The case remains under investigation.

This is only the latest incident in the Kalamazoo area involving explosives. On September 9, police arrested a parole absconder who was found with improvised explosive devices, along with drugs and stolen property.
