KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The X-train was running again this weekend through the north side with Public Safety in hot pursuit, investigating several shootings, a hit and run and other incidents from about midnight until 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
They responded to reports of crowds, fights, noise and gunshots in the 700 block of Douglas and at Fox Ridge Apartments, in the 900 block of Westnedge, on Princeton Avenue, on Hawley and on West Michigan Avenue.
They arrested a 22-year-old woman along N. Westnedge for felony gun charges and felonious assault. Another 22-year-old was arrested after he was stopped and PSO’s discovered an unregistered handgun and ammunition in the vehicle.
A hit and run was reported on Frank near Burdick. PSO’s later found the vehicle with front end damage and arrested a 39-year-old for driving under the influence.
