OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a break-in at the T-Mobile Metro Store, 401 Baldwin St. in Jenison, in Georgetown Township.
It’s the eighth phone-store theft incident since October, 2018. Total losses in Ottawa County exceed $40,000 alone.
Police found a broken rear glass door was used by the suspect or suspects to entered the building.
Stolen from the shop: phones and iPads from the display area. The thief or thieves left the store in a very short time, headed in an unknown direction. Because police believe these and other incidents are related, Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies have been working with other West Michigan law enforcement agencies, including Grand Haven, Wyoming, Kentwood, and Grand Rapids police departments, as well as the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives were able to get surveillence photos from Tuesday’s theft.
