BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) – The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to a reported roof fire Thursday morning at the Airport Operations Building. A lighting strike is believed to be the cause of the fire, however, it is unknown when it occurred.
Upon arrival, no visible fire or smoke conditions were present, only smoldering roof deck materials were found near a skylight. Normal operations at the airport building have resumed.
