KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man who was wanted in Illinois on an outstanding warrant that described him as “Armed and Dangerous” has been taken into custody after he allegedly assaulted his longtime girlfriend.
Public Safety was dispatached to North Burdick and Kalamazoo Avenue where they witnessed the man restraining the woman who was trying to push a stroller at the time.
Sgt. Richard McCall says the 26-year-old known felon was arrested and booked into the County Jail for domestic assault and weopons charges after they found a handgun in his pocket.
The officers were able to obtain surveillance video showing the assault.
