CASS COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Deputies are investigating a nearly head on collision that sent two people to the hospital Monday afternoon.
They say 46-year-old Charles Sampson was northbound on M-60 near Gards Prairie Road in the rain when he lost control, crossed the centerline and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Both Sampson, and the other driver, 45-year-old Cynthia Broekheizen of Gobles had to be pried out of their vehicles and transported to area hospitals for emergency treatment.
Their conditions were not released.
Seat belts and airbags may have prevented even worse injuries in the violent collision.
