LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed bills that will forgive four additional snow days, eliminating the need to extend the school year further into next month for many area schools.
It will also greatly reduce the number that will need to be added in rural and northern districts, where more snow days were declared during his unusually cold and snowy winter.
The four days that are being forgiven in this legislation are for the days the Governor shut down the State because of a record breaking Polar Vortex in late January.
