MARENGO TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – No injuries were reported after a pair of oil wells exploded late Tuesday morning in Calhoun County’s Marengo Township.
The explosions and fire took place at an oil well site on J Drive North between 21 and 23 Mile Roads.
Firefighters from Marshall Township, Albion Township, Sheridan, and Parma were called in.
The fires were quickly brought under control.
The cause of the explosions was not known.
