LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Michiganders will soon be able to schedule an appointment to make their Secretary of State visits faster.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced on Thursday that they will extend the appointment option to the remaining 88 branches that do not have it, beginning in mid-June
She says that residents who made an appointment ahead of time were able to get in and out of the branch office in less than 30 minutes, which has been one of her goals since she launched her campaign.
In a statement, Benson wrote:
“No one in Michigan should wait more than 30 minutes to renew their license, register their vehicle or register to vote. With our statewide expansion of appointments, every Michigan resident will have the option to make an appointment at their local branch office and get in and out of a branch office in less than 30 minutes.”
Residents will be able to schedule appointments at Michigan.gov/SOSAppointments.
