QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The names have been released of the three children who died after their Amish horse-drawn carriage was struck by a suspected drunk driver Friday evening in Algansee Township.
Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Indiana says the fatal victims are 6-year-old Lillian Graber, 4-year-old Moses Graber and 2-year-old Jacob Graber.
Lillian and Jacob Graber died Friday at the scene of the crash on Kelley Road south of Lester Road. Moses Graber died Saturday at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The mother and another child were seriously injured. Michigan State Police say five children and two adults were ejected from the carriage after it was hit from behind by a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup, 21-year-old Tyler Frye of Angola, is facing numerous charges including three counts of Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, Causing Death.
He is being held in the Branch County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
