KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Health officials are reporting confirmed cases of hepatitis A in Southwest Michigan.
The Van Buren-Cass District Health Department, serving both Van Buren and Cass Counties, made the public announcement on its’ Facebook page on Friday.
Hepatitis A attacks the liver and can cause a multitude of symptoms from fatigue, fever, nausea and loss of appetite.
Health officials are urging everyone to get vaccinated, especially those at risk.
