BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – One of the biggest holiday events in southwest Michigan will start its five day run Wednesday at the W.K. Kellogg Airport in Battle Creek.
Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival Executive Director Barb Haluzska says they don’t have as many balloons that they used to have, but they are still expecting up to 45 hot air balloons to compete for over $12,000 in prize money.
She says the F-22 Raptor from the U.S. Air Force will be back this year along with other air show performances.
Fireworks are scheduled to take place Thursday and Saturday nights.
