HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation officials are urging drivers to be watching for Adopt-A-Highway volunteers starting Saturday.
This is the second cleanup of the year, and will run from July 13 through the 21, 2019.
The program began in 1990. Volunteers collect between 65,000 and 70,000 bags of trash annually from the side of highways across Michigan.
MDOT folks would also like to remind people not to litter while traveling on Michigan roads.
