SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County authorities are investigating an accident that involved a vehicle crashing into an occupied home early this morning.
Sheriff’s deputies say it happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 31000 block of Curran Beach Rd. in Silver Creek Township. Investigations at the scene showed a 19-year-old male driver from Illinois and a passenger were traveling north when they failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle left the roadway and struck the home.
The occupants in the vehicle along with residents at the home were not injured. Speeding is believed to be a factor in the crash which remains under investigation.
