UNDATED, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Four Michigan airports are receiving millions of dollars from the Federal Aviation Administration to make improvements at their facilities.
The highest grant of 21-million dollars will go to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport for runway reconstruction.
Gerald R. Ford International Airport near Grand Rapids will also receive over 11-million for apron rehabilitation.
The Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport was given a 1.5-million dollar grant for an environmental study to determine if the airport can expand their runway.
Over 500-thousand dollars will also go to Alpena County’s Regional Airport for new snow removal equipment.
