LANSING,MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan drivers already know their auto insurance premiums are the highest on average in the country and a new analysis finds after a crash, it gets even worse.
Insurance.com looked at how much premiums go up following a property damage claim, and found Michigan’s increase of 48-percent pushes those up to a highest-in-the-nation $3,500 a year.
Changes to the state’s unique no-fault auto insurance system will take effect next year.
