UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) – Former state Representative Todd Courser is facing up to a year in jail or a fine of up to one-thousand dollars after he pleaded guilty to willful neglect of duty by a public officer.
The plea is connected to the scandal which prompted his resignation from the House in the middle of the night in September 2015.
The 47-year-old had faced multiple felony charges for using state resources to try to hide an affair with fellow Representative Cindy Gamrat, who was expelled by the House a few hours after he resigned.
Attorney General Dana Nessel says a perjury charge against Courser will be dismissed when he’s sentenced September 16th.
