MACKINAC BRIDGE (WKZO AM/FM) – The 62nd annual Mackinac Bridge Walk is set for Labor Day.
The event has been a staple at the iconic Michigan landmark since it opened on November 1, 1957.
Because of the walk, vehicle traffic on the bridge will be halted from 6:30 am to noon.
For the second year, walkers will have a choice on which route they want to take…participants can walk the entire length from St Ignace to Mackinaw City or vice versa…or can walk half the bridge from either St Ignace or Mackinaw City. Walkers won’t be permitted to begin walking after 11 am.
