Lottery officials say although Friday the 13th is usually known as an unlucky day, lottery players have won more than $176-million dollars in Mega Millions jackpots from Friday the 13th drawings since 2003.
Locally, 4 Michiganders have hit big jackpots on this “unlucky day.”
In addition to the jackpot prizes, 32 Mega Millions players have won prizes ranging from $10,000 up to $1 million on Friday the 13th.
Today’s Mega Millions jackpot is $172-million dollars.
