SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One of the victims in a recent South Haven shooting has left Bronson Hospital and is being transferred to a new facility.
Previously, police had reported that a married couple, identified as Charles and Barb Skuza, were shot at the South Pier on Friday, August 20.
Charles succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Barb was airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The gunman, identified as 19-year-old Aiden Ingalls of Bangor, also died from a self-inflicted gunshot at the scene.
On Tuesday, family members reported that Barb Skuza has been transferred from Bronson Hospital to the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids for continued treatment.
A statement from the family members reads in part as follows –
“Those who are close to Barb continue to maintain hope that she will make a full recovery. Please know that your thoughts and prayers are heard by both Barb and our family. We are grateful for the many words of encouragement, cards and flowers she continues to receive as she enters Mary Free Bed in Grand Rapids to continue her recovery.”
