With evictions looming, area agency says it can help those in need

KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – After the Supreme Court ruling last week that will allow tenant evictions to resume, thousands of state residents could be in peril of losing their residence, but local officials say that there are numerous resources available for those who need them.

Funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act, can assist those who are having trouble paying their rent.

Housing Resources, Inc., in Kalamazoo, has had over 600 applications come in for help.
