LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The balmy weather conditions that southern Lower Michigan has experienced over the past week doesn’t mean that there are no signs of winter in the state right now.
Pure Michigan’s Dave Lorenz says that the major ski and sport resorts in the northern Lower Peninsula, as well as all of the Upper Peninsula, have been unaffected by the unseasonably warm temperatures seen here. “You look outside and you don’t see any snow, so people think, ‘Oh, there’s no skiing this weekend.’” Lorenz said during his weekly Friday interview on “WHTC Morning News.” “Well, there is! Even though it’s warm outside, you can still see a lot of snow and get into it, depending on how far you want to go.”
Wintry conditions in the southern Lower Michigan are expected to return in time for the New Year’s holiday.
