CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — The alleged hit and run driver who left the scene of a three vehicle crash on I-69 that left a 22-year-old from Clarkston in Critical Condition has been located in the town of Perry, which is north east of Lansing.
The suspect in a distinctive pickup truck was helping another driver who was in the ditch.
Calhoun County Deputies say he backed into traffic and was struck in the rear by a passing SUV, which was redirected into a Semi, the driver suffering life threatening injuries.
Deputies say as soon as the prosecutor issues warrants, they will serve them.
Apparently deputies got a number of tips from the public on the identity of the suspect.

MARSHALL (WKZO AM/FM) — A Good Samaritan, who stopped to help one motorist in trouble, fled the scene after Calhoun County Deputies claim he caused two others to smash into each other. ‘
Deputies are looking for an older tricked-out Diesel Ford F-250 or F-350 with fender flares, after-market wheels, a chrome tool chest behind the cab and a sticker on the front that reads “Stroke this”.
The suspect driver was trying to pull another vehicle out of the ditch along I-69 near Marshall when he backed into the southbound lane.
The pickup was rear-ended by a 22-year-old Clarkston man who is now in critical condition at Borgess Medical Center after his SUV bounced off the truck and into the path of a semi tractor-trailer.
The suspect driver is a tall thin white male wearing a Carhartt Jacket and a stocking cap. His Pickup had a dog kennel in the back and now has rear-end damage.
