JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies say it appears that slick roads may have been the reason for a fatal crash along Calvin Hill just before 7 pm Monday night and found a car that gone out of control driving west on the icy surface and struck a tree.
Dead is 40-year-old Jennifer Johnson of Edwardsburg.
She was the only occupant of the vehicle. Alcohol was not a factor and she suffered a fatal injury despite wearing her seat belt.
They are investigating.
