UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Winter is typically a bad time for blood donations but this year has been particularly problematical because of the cold spell that began around Christmas.
Todd Kuhlman with the American Red Cross says they desperately need all types of blood, but particularly type O-negative, B-negative and Type AB.
Over 150 blood drives have been canceled due to the weather the past few weeks.
You can find a place to give blood at the Red Cross website here.
