KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Beer Week begins this weekend in Kalamazoo, featuring hundreds of events at sites all over the area, all themed around the brewing and drinking of beer, but it’s not the only big beer event going on.
A three day conference of craft beer professionals, organized by the Michigan Brewers Guild is already underway in Kalamazoo.
There are breakout sessions on canning beer, several on HOPS and obtaining quality grains. There will no doubt also be some networking and beer drinking taking place and they have speakers.
Guild Executive Director Scott Graham says there is always something new to learn in the craft brewing business, whether you are making it, or some new beer to try.
The conference is taking place at the Radisson, with a trade show set up at Wings Event Center.
